St. Francis Regional Medical Center

St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Shakopee has undergone significant renovations, notably a $25 million expansion (2020-2021) for its Emergency Department (adding trauma/mental health rooms, ambulance garage) and Cancer Center (more exam/infusion space). Later, a new Surgery & Endoscopy Center with TRIA Orthopedics (2023+) added a surgical suite, clinics, and orthopedic care, transitioning the campus into a comprehensive medical hub. These projects, involving major construction and new facilities, aimed to increase capacity, improve patient experience, and expand specialized services, with phased openings continuing to enhance care in the growing community.
